This year’s theme, inspired by The Wizard of Oz, beautifully highlighted the message that there truly is “no place like home.” It was a powerful reminder of the importance of stable housing and of the life-changing work Families in Transition (FIT) does every day to help individuals and families find safety, support, and a place to call home.

For those who may be unfamiliar,Families in Transitionis a remarkable non-profit organization providing essential services including housing, emergency shelter, substance use treatment, and food programs. Each service plays a critical role in helping community members rebuild their lives and move toward a brighter future.

We are always grateful to attend FIT’s annual Thanksgiving Breakfast, where we witness the profound impact of their work and hear inspiring stories of hope, resilience, and transformation.
